Personalized Device Solutions
Solution Overview: Since data preparation for city commercial banks is typically managed by UnionPay or the respective city commercial bank alliances, this solution begins with the processed data as its foundation. After downloading the data from UnionPay’s data center or the city commercial bank alliance’s data center, it is transferred to the card-issuing equipment via the bank’s internal network or other secure methods. The data then undergoes critical processing and encryption/decryption using an encryption device before being loaded into the operating memory of the card-issuing PC. Finally, the data is securely encrypted into ciphertext by the integrated Smartsys software—a dedicated security tool designed specifically for card issuance—before the device proceeds to issue the cards. Throughout the entire process, no plaintext ever comes into contact with the physical card production environment, ensuring maximum security.
As the migration to IC cards progresses steadily, more and more regional commercial banks are considering setting up their own card-issuing centers to gain greater control over timeliness and flexibility. As the exclusive agent for NBS equipment, Silone is equipped to deliver a comprehensive, end-to-end card-issuing center solution—from card-to-card personalization—offering a full range of services including card production, envelope sealing, and secure card destruction. 3. Instant Card Issuance Application
Background: With the advancement of IC cards, bank cards and industry-specific cards are now capable of supporting an increasing number of functions, which in turn means more customer personal information needs to be stored on these cards. More importantly, much of this information still requires customers to provide it in person. As a result, customers expect us to streamline the card issuance process into a seamless, one-stop experience. This places higher demands on our ability to deliver cards quickly and efficiently.
Introduction: An instant card issuance system allows customers to immediately collect their newly applied cards right at the time of application, completing the process seamlessly at the counter. In traditional card production, newly issued debit cards can typically be picked up instantly because these cards are pre-printed—meaning they haven’t yet been linked to a specific user during the manufacturing process. However, for cards requiring personalized information—such as customer names or chip data—to be embedded on the card surface or in the chip itself, immediate card retrieval becomes challenging. This is especially true for credit cards, co-branded resident health cards, and similar types of cards.
Instant card issuance system features:
We fulfill customers' card replacement needs. If a card is lost, customers can visit a branch to request a replacement after filing a loss report. Once the branch staff verifies the customer's identity and confirms the loss report through the system, the replacement process will proceed on-site—provided the verification is successful—allowing the customer to immediately receive their new card. Under favorable conditions, it’s even possible to replace the card with the same account number.
l Meeting customers' card replacement needs: Magnetic stripe cardholders can visit a branch to exchange their cards for IC cards of the same account number.
We cater to customers' DIY card needs—some of them want to add a personal touch and artistic flair to their cards. To achieve this, while keeping the overall card design intact, they request that their personalized elements, such as individual photos, family pictures, or symbols with special meaning, be incorporated alongside the standard printing.
It meets the demands of industry-specific card applications, such as cards requiring immediate printing of customer information, or IC cards that may need to load new applications in the future.
